Cologne, February 2010 – In Hannover, the GUS Group will present the new generation of its industry software for companies in process industries: GUS-OS ERP 5.0. The new version includes the essential features of an ergonomic user interface such as tree diagrams as navigation aids, tabs for parallel applications, and a toolbar. The new release also reveals expansions to the functions, design, and basic technology, so that GUS-OS ERP will impress more than ever.
Working faster with greater comfort
There is a lot to see at the GUS Group booth: the features of the new user interface allow more comfortable work with a browser-based solution. Users can navigate more securely, call applications up more quickly, and change between programs with just a click.
Thanks to a new menu with tree structure, users can also see exactly where in the application they are at the moment. This is a real plus for easy orientation. They can also save favorites so that access to frequently-used functions is faster. A toolbar also speeds things up; its central functions can be called directly using icons.
If several applications are open in parallel in GUS-OS ERP, users can select the application they want to edit with just a click on a tab. The corresponding view (tab) then appears in the foreground. These expanded features are available for all modules of the GUS-OS product line and are based on RIA technology (Rich Internet Application).
Making firm decisions with better analyses
GUS-OS ERP makes business intelligence a fixed component of the ERP solution. Five modules allow economic observations and evaluations at the touch of a button. Companies thus receive clear decision-making bases for familiar and new questions, market conditions, and variations of product and product line.
- Each company calculates differently. With GUS-OS Controlling, calculations are designed variably from quotation and order calculation on through to profit margin calculation.
- Changes in the customer’s demand behavior, sales deviations in a region, etc. - Dimensions such as time, customer, product, and region can be linked easily with multidimensional analyses. GUS-OS Analytics assists with the set-up of the data warehouse and the construction of a data cube, components that are necessary for complex analyses.
- GUS-OS KPI provides easier orientation with figures. This solution offers a multitude of key performance indicators (KPIs) for selection and quick preparation. The selected figures are provided in an overview.
- So that companies remain “liquid”: GUS-OS Liquidity Planning takes over the planning of short and long-term as well as one-time and recurring incoming and outgoing payments – matched to the payment deadlines.
- Would you like to be able to generate a quick report? One click and the report is available with GUS-OS Report. The software allows ad hoc evaluations and standard reports.
Acting flexibly on a high-performance basis
Innovative Web technology is the basis for GUS-OS ERP. It makes the solution flexible, user-friendly, mobile, and expandable. GUS-OS ERP guides users safely through their tasks with ToDo lists and provides management overviews for all important services. GUS-OS ERP controls processes with an application-integrated workflow, which also allows the linking of flows. Finally, the modular construction of the GUS-OS product line and the complete integration of all components provide impressive flexibility when new requirements arise.
The new GUS-OS ERP 5.0 for companies in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, cosmetics, food and luxury food, chemistry, and logistics industries will be presented at CeBIT in Hall 5, Booth F38. The world’s largest trade fair for information and communications technology will be held from March 2-6 this year.
