The powerful push in new customer business in the last few weeks of 2009 have put the GUS Group in an outstanding initial position for 2010. With the consistent orientation towards the requirements of the process industry, the modular structure of the solution, and the latest Internet technology, the GUS Group was able to score equally among companies in the pharmaceutical, food, and luxury food industries, as well as logistics. These pleasing results set the course for further increasing the market share of GUS-OS ERP and making this solution the IT standard for still more companies in the process industry. Currently, more than 200 companies are using GUS Group solutions.
Customers in the pharmaceutical industry include, among others, CP-Pharma Handelsgesellschaft mbH of Burgdorf bei Hannover and Phafag AG of Schaanwald in Liechtenstein. CP-Pharma develops and sells veterinary medicines. Phafag AG synthesizes pharmaceutically-active substances and specializes in the production of tablets. Both companies will use GUS-OS ERP.
The new GUS-OS customers in the food and luxury food industries include interTee Handelsgesellschaft mbH of Norderstedt and Horst Bode Import-Export GmbH of Hamburg. Under the name "Bode Naturkost," this company offers natural and controlled biological quality products. interTee specializes in trade in tea from all countries of the world and it sells exclusive tea accessories.
To individualize and make its logistics services flexible, Group7 AG will use the GUS-OS spectrum of services. This company focuses on the areas of air freight, sea freight, sea-air, and trucking traffic, as well as outsourcing concepts.
For the decision in favor of GUS-OS ERP, various criteria were the focus for these new customers: the companies in the pharmaceutical industry placed special value on aspects such as the support of validation and the implementation methodology according to the GAMP5 model. For the food processors, processes that guarantee the traceability and fulfill the requirements of trade (IFS, etc.) were important. The logistics customers were won over by the services for materials management and inventory management as well as the modular design of the solution.
