GUS-OS Release 5.0
Better, faster, more beautiful

GUS-OS ERP moves on to the next generation. The new release offers standards that have been developed specifically for the different industries and that are also exclusively delivered to those industries. For the pharmaceutical industry that means that they don't run the risk to have to revalidate the system due to upgrades of the program.

In addition, the solution has been expanded by fully integrated modules for financial and enterprise analyses. GUS-OS solution modules for controlling, the creation and tracking of enterprise index numbers, data analysis and liquidity planning now complement the GUS OS solution family as well.

While the GUS-OS Analytics, GUS-OS Controlling and GUS-OS KPI solutions have already been released over the last couple of months, the GUS OS Liquidity Planning has now been added as another business-management module.

The user interface of the browser-based software has also been completely revised for the new release. RIA (Rich Internet Applications) and AJAX (Asynchronous JavaScript and XML) are the technologies that have been implemented. "With these technologies we can provide the users with entirely new utilization options which far exceed the classic HTML presentation options," explains Rolf W. Eckertz, Member of the Board for Development GUS Group, this decision.

The use of these new technologies, such as micro charts, mash-ups and dashboards, makes it now possible to provide visual decision making tools and overviews for management information and control centers.

With regard to regulatory constraints in the process industry the user navigation has been streamlined as well. In the new release menu structures can now almost completely be replaced by transaction and event-driven alerts. The user is guided through the processes based on the user's role in the enterprise.

In addition: The design of the auto-complete function in the new release is significantly more convenient. Word completions are suggested based on context-sensitive searches, translation tools have also been expanded from mask content to field contents.

As already announced for the CeBIT 2009, the new release includes comprehensive innovations, especially in the area of business intelligence and an innovative, comfortable interface.
