Flexible support of IT workflow processes is a basic necessity for implementing a future-oriented long-term strategy in system utilization. Only so can solutions be kept fully practical and the cost and time needed for implementing changed business and industrial requirements limited.

Thus, for Finzelberg GmbH & Co. KG, a specialist company for plant extracts and substances used in dietary supplements, the decision to integrate the various adjustments made over the years into a standard was a prerequisite so that the new ERP complete solution with its application integrated workflow fully develops its effectiveness. Furthermore, the company wanted to ease the IT links at their locations, drastically reduce their own programming and documentation work and at the same time enhance IT operability.

GUS-OS ERP fulfils these expectations and has features that allow integrated workflow, such as role-based To-Do-Lists, which give all employees a clear overview of their tasks. And, this is possible everywhere: the secure system access is via the web. At the same time, the programming work necessary for updates is reduced.

The platform independent and web-based GUS system forms the long-term, modern Java platform for the Finzelberg company. The solution is at the start of its product-life cycle and thus offers high investment protection. Together with the central ERP-solution, which covers everything from purchasing to materials management to production and sales, four modules further supplement the system for planning and forecast, product lifecycle management as well as quality control in the laboratory (LIMS). The end of the green screen era and a start into the world of Java was also welcomed by the employees. User acceptance was achieved within three months. Thus, this solution established itself as a real standard in the company.

Implementing new management expectations are possible with further system capabilities: since especially the application integrated workflow of GUS-OS ERP speaks for itself, electronic workflows are planned for invoice receipt and reclamation processing. Further projects are implementing GUS-OS Finance in accounting and GUS-OS Analytics for OLAP (Online Analytical Processing).
