As experts for American bakery products the Bagel Bakery from Zeitz in Saxon-Anhalt is committed to producing authentic quality products. Their company processes also have to live up to this high standard. Therefore, the bakery experts selected the ERP solution GUS-OS ERP in the new Speed version: cost efficient pre-configured processes for the smaller Life Science companies.
GUS-OS Speed supports the Bagel Bakery in their company developments with “Speed”. The company was founded in 2000 and since October 2003 has been established in their new premises near Zeitz. The company supplies restaurants, bakeries and retailers with typical US bakery products such as bagels, doughnuts, cookies, brownies and muffins. The know-how of its employees, who have worked in German and American bakeries since 1996, is exceptional. This is why the Bagel Bakery received the New Business Award from the city of Zeitz in 2002 and since 2002 they have received a DLG Award every year and in 2005 even the Gold Prize. “We are a young company and we were looking for a ERP solution aligned to quality processes in the food industry and it had to be affordable”, stated Christian Kiefer, Director of the Bagel Bakery. “GUS-OS ERP in the Speed version was just what we were looking for.” The solution from the GUS Group won through against six other well-known software competitors.
The project team plans to install the ERP solution, now in the third generation, in 22 days. Employees from the Bagel Bakery will be carrying out menu and form customization themselves after training by the GUS Group project team. “With the GUS Group we have found a partner with sound sector competence and their solution has a technically mature process design”, confirmed Kiefer.
