Lagerhäuser Aarau bought the logistic center in Spreitenbach from Nestle Switzerland last October and they now provide contract logistic services for the company. After a fast ERP ramp-up they started running live.
The implementation for the ERP solution from GUS Group only took nine months and then the new Lagerhäuser Aarau logistic center in Spreitenbach started live running. The solution has a high degree of integration – including wireless order picking – and it is exceptional in linking the processes and the IT with Nestle Suisse SA as well as with the relevant production sites, external transport firms and end customers. The GUS Group is one of the first software companies to have implemented an interactive SAP interface by Nestle in real-time for the “International Normization GLOBE” that was only announced last year.
Lagerhäuser Aarau took over the logistic center from Nestle Switzerland in October 2003 to provide contract logistic services for Nestle. After a short decision phase the contract was signed in favor of implementing the ERP system from GUS Group. Lagerhäuser Aarau has already had positive experience with the solution in other business areas and this influenced their decision for the implementation. The project was carried out efficiently and target oriented by all the parties involved – Nestle Switzerland, Lagerhäuser Aarau and GUS Switzerland. One of the conditions stipulated by Nestle was that “the customers should not be affected by the changeover” and this was clearly fulfilled. After going into real time there was an intensive three-week training phase, carried out by consultants from the GUS Group, before Lagerhäuser Aarau themselves took over the computer system in the new location. Lagerhäuser Aarau also has logistic centers in Hunzenschwil, Schafsheim and Spreitenbach.
