Since November 1, GUS-OS ERP – including Finance – has been running in live operation at medac Gesellschaft für Spezialpräparate mbH. Aside from the standard functions of the GUS-OS software, which already map all common industry features, various "special" functions were developed and introduced for medac GmbH. These include the workflow-controlled creation of manufacturing instructions and the use of radio scanners in the warehouse.

The introduction on All Saints’ Day was made possible thanks to the large personnel contingent and great engagement of the project participants on both sides. "The extremely comfortable relationship of the project managers with one another was just as crucial for the overall success of the project as the professional expertise and engagement of all participants,” says Maice Mundt, responsible project manager at GUS Deutschland GmbH.

In the future, more than 180 users will work with GUS-OS ERP. All business processes of this pharmaceutical company will be mapped with the new software. GUS-OS ERP assists with and eases validation. This makes the introduction easier, especially for companies in the pharmaceutical industry. Furthermore, GUS-OS ERP takes into account the industry’s most important regulations and laws from the very beginning. This ensures the greatest possible security in this area.

For the implementation of the software, the project team is orienting itself according to the V model of the GAMP5 guideline. "We are impressed by the performance and procedures of GUS. The introduction has been a completely successful project,” according to Dr. Rainer Dickhardt, member of the Management Board of medac GmbH.
