“Good performance verified” – this is the GUS Group’s result in the new study “User satisfaction ERP/Business Software Germany 2008/2009”. From the beginning of April until the end of July 2008, over 2,300 companies took part in the survey and evaluated over 2,200 ERP-installations. GUS-OS ERP took part in the study for the second time, after 2006.
For the study, Trovarit AG, together with the magazine, “Computerwoche”, and partners i2s GmbH, Zürich, the Research Institute for Operations Management (FIR) at Aachen University and MQ result consulting AG in Tübingen, reviewed the use of ERP-solutions in Germany.
Contrary to the general trend of the survey, in which the software systems, on average, were rated better than the services, the GUS Group received strong ratings in the categories “Overall Implementation Partner” and “Overall Services Partner”.
Overall, the project organisation was characterised as well-balanced. At the same time, the customers are now more satisfied with the observance of the project time schedule than in 2006. GUS-OS ERP received more positive evaluations with respect to the price/performance ratio and also the interfaces.
As before, GUS-OS ERP was rated well-suited for SMBs. In addition, the marks for implementation and service showed that the GUS Group has strengthened the good connections they have with their customers since the first survey in 2006.
About the study
The initial initiator and creator of the study “User Satisfaction ERP/Business Software”, which was carried out in Germany under the leadership of the Trovarit AG, is the company, intelligent systems solutions (i2s) GmbH, in Zürich. The original motivation and reason for the study was the insight that in addition to reviewing the, for the most part, objective functions and processes, the subjective aspects concerning ERP – selection, implementation, operation and organisation should also be reviewed.
After the study’s large success in 2003, when it was first carried out for the Swiss market, the idea evolved to develop an initiative for the entire German speaking area. Thus, the study, with its continual further developments upon the Swiss “original”, has been carried out in Germany since 2004 and in Austria since 2005. Since 2006, the study has been continued on a two year cycle in the "D/A/CH" countries, in order to contribute to providing more transparency and quality in the ERP market.
